I was raised by parents who made almost everything themselves, instead of buying it. My dad was a skilled carpenter, and in his free time, he was always building or machining something for the house. He had a bunch of tools, and I inherited many of them. The more I use a particular tool, the more I realize that these tools have their own personalities. I find it amusing how many of these tools resemble animals of various kinds. Some tools even bite my fingers if I’m not careful! Inspired by this observation, I created this collection of images to showcase the faces and animal-like features that I’ve come to recognize in my tools. Take a look and see what you see! Don’t worry, these images won’t bite, I promise!
